Dr. Tate is married to Sister Theresa, and together they have one daughter, Kendra Tate.
Since Dr. Tate assumed the pastorate of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in 2002, the church has experienced growth spiritually, numerically, and economically. As he reveals the vision of the church, “Strength for the Journey”, he stated; ‘ that people don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care.’ Dr Tate through the leadership of the Holy Spirit is empowering the members of Antioch to be “disciples” rather than just church members.
Dr. Tate is a native of Jefferson, South Carolina and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Miller L. Tate. Dr. Tate saw the need to pursue religious training by studying at various colleges throughout the states of North and South Carolina.
